Amnovis is an additive manufacturing production and engineering company that's built on no-nonsense entrepreneurship.
At Amnovis, we believe the full potential of additive manufacturing can be unlocked through thoughtful innovations, which we intend to enable for the utilization in regulated and high-tech industries. To achieve our purpose, we strive to be the catalyst of the innovation process, continuously looking for technical challenges and opportunities to redefine the state-of-the-art in AM.
Amnovis was founded in June 2020, backed with a combined experience and track record of 35 years in Additive Manufacturing of the founding team. As an independent and privately owned company, we set up long-term partnerships by actively engaging with employees, customers and partners that each have a unique expertise complementary to our own.

Peter Mercelis
Chairman of the Board
Peter obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering on the topic of process control of selective laser melting in 2007 from KU Leuven. In 2008 he co-founded the spin-off company LayerWise, where he acted as co-CEO and head of the medical business unit. In 2014 the company got acquired by 3D Systems. Until 2018 he was a director within the metals and healthcare business unit of 3D Systems. Since 2018, Peter continued his serial-entrepreneurial life and is actively involved as board member, advisor and investor in several additive manufacturing and medtech companies. Peter is co-investor and Chairman of the board of Amnovis.
Ruben Wauthle
CEO
Ruben started his career at LayerWise (now 3D Systems) in 2010 as Medical Application Engineer and obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 from KU Leuven on the topic of selective laser melting of porous titanium and tantalum implants. In 2015, he joined FMI Instrumed in the Netherlands where he started and managed the additive manufacturing division and integrated it into their medical device contract manufacturing services. Ruben returned to 3D Systems in 2017 as a director within the healthcare business unit, and was responsible for all sales in Europe for contract manufacturing and metal printer sales. Ruben is co-investor and CEO of Amnovis.
Bert Engelen
Operations Manager
Bert obtained his Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2014 from KU Leuven. He started as Project Engineer in the Healthcare department at LayerWise (now 3D Systems), playing a key role in the development and production ramp-up for some of the largest contract manufacturing projects of additively manufactured medical devices. In 2019 he moved into a different role at 3D Systems, setting up the engineering services' offering and supporting OEMs and contract manufacturers in regulated industries with validating the metal AM process and integrating it into their quality management system. Today, Bert is using this experience as Amnovis' Operations Manager.

Marc Dietlin
Sales Manager
After obtaining his Bachelor's degree as a Sales Engineer, Marc has dedicated his entire career to the supply chain of the healthcare industry, holding various positions in sales and marketing. Beginning in the pharmaceutical sector in 1991, he transitioned to orthopedics in 2000 and entered the additive manufacturing industry in 2019, leading the European healthcare sales team at 3D Systems. With a deep obsession for understanding markets and customer needs, Marc believes that product marketing is key to success. He has driven the successful deployment of several new concepts in packaging machinery, sterilization cases, and high-performance polymer applications. In 2024, Marc joined Amnovis as Sales Manager, drawn to the company's customer-focused culture.
